Thank the Maker it's over!!!

Alright... the Stag and Doe is over and done with along with my Tux fitting (yes that was an ordeal too because I'm a little butterball and not too proud of that fact).

To begin with, Deb, the kids and I drove to Orangeville friday afternoon and set up in my inlaws empty house (they were away on vacation). About 4pm, I left to go to the Aultmans to help get everything in order for the next day. Blah blah blah blah blah. I ended up leaving about 11:30 and got back to the house at about midnight. Then we were up early the next day with the kids. We headed to Walmart then I was able to sneek in a quick nap before we had to leave to go to a wedding reception BBQ in Erin. Now I don't tend to nap well. I don't fall asleep quickly and when I do, I slide right into REM sleep so it takes me forever to wake up. So usually I just avoid the whole thing. But this time I thought I should try. Anyways, we then went to the BBQ which was really nice despite not knowing really anyone. Kathryn was pretty good but Patrick kept saying "Bye" to everyone and pointing to the way out. So we really only stayed for just over an hour which kinda sucked. Deb was really looking forward to it so I was hoping we could stay longer. HOWEVER, the other reason we had to leave was because in my infinitismal wisdom, downed a smirnoff ice in a couple chugs so I could chase after Patrick. Well I haven't really drank that much in the last several years and haven't had a smirnoff in a very long time. It only took about 2 minutes to hit me and I got woozy. Then a couple minutes after that, I broke out into sweats and had HORRIBLE stomach pains (Like heartburn). It felt like I was on fire on the inside! Deb gave me a couple tums which helped after awhile but I felt SO horrible. It was too the point where I didn't even know if I could make it to the stag and doe. But by the time we had gotten home, I had recouped enough to leave again.

So therrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre I was..... motor oil smeared alllllllllll over my body.... she came in with a pair of jumper cables.... oh wait. Wrong story. Sorry about that.

The Stag and Doe!

It started off fairly slow... then people started to trickle in but they were all older people. None of the actual "friends" of the bride and groom really came until a bit later. And even then... it was a very slow trickle. We were really worried that not enough people would show and we wouldn't even break even. Then a larger group of our friends showed up but the buggers barely drank anything and didn't really play that many games!! Bunch of Hosers! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!... but it turns out it was all good. Despite the fact that no one really danced (so much for my music downloads) and no one really drank that much, we were able to make a profit with all the games we did. I won't say how much because we're still figuring that out.
Anywho.... we figured we had about 75 people there which was less then we hoped but still good. It would appear everyone had a good time and the bride and groom were happy. I just wish my darling wife could have made it! But she had her own troubles (see my wife's blog).
After clean up, we got back to Josh and Carry's place about 2am. Josh and I were going to stay up a bit and talk because we were a lil keyed up but decided to go to bed instead. However, I wish I hadn't because my mind was racing until about 4am... then I was up with the twins and Josh at about 7am. BLECH

Onto the tux fitting the next day....

Hmmmm... got my tux fitted with Josh and Ethan in Brampton the next day. Not much else to say. Oh... we stopped in Acton and saw the club where Whitworth and Steph are getting married. Holy Smokes!! Very Posh!! I'm goin to feel SO out of place!!! Oh well... their funeral! I mean wedding!! hehehe

OK... I'm tired. I should have written more but... well screw ya! I'M TIRED DAMN IT!
