Well I went paintballing for the first time on Saturday for my buddy Aultmans' 30th birthday. I have to admit I was pretty anxious because I'm not in the best shape in the world anymore and have a very low tolerance for pain. So that was why I was VERY surprised on how much I enjoyed it! AND I wasn't half bad at it either! There was 12 of us in our group so they gave us our own Ref in order for us to play just amongst ourselves which was perfect. We would play a couple rounds on each course then head back to reload on paintballs and CO2, then head back out to a new course to keep things fresh. Now for the first while, it seemed everytime I got hit, it was on a protruding bone somewhere (Knee a couple times, Rib, Knuckle, collar bone, etc). I was kind of shocked about that since... well I'm not really a small guy and carry around a few spare tires so I don't have a whole lot of bone that isn't padded! These shots hurt but I found it just made me more aggressive for the next round. I guess everyone comes away with one good story so here's mine.
I had army crawled (can you friggin believe it???) around a course so I could surprise the other team from the side and pick them off one by one. It worked pretty good to. I shot one guy in the head a few times (sorry Barret) and he didn't even see it coming. I then snuck around on the birthday boy. He was laying down against a concrete block. I stood over him, my muzzle 2 feet from him and said "You are mercied". This means he can walk off without being shot. I guess I surprised him so much he screeched, rolled onto his back and shot me square in the chest at point blank range. OW!!! The ref saw the whole thing and told me the ball didn't explode, I was still in the game (Not that it mattered, this next part would have happened regardless). I was so ticked off and I think Aultman could see it in my eyes through the mask and started trying to apologize. This is when I open fired on him and covered him with paint. I WAS nice about it though and only shot him in the legs (I REALLY wanted to shoot the dumbass in the head). So there's my good story. I've got several more but that's the one that stands out. I'm hoping someone organizes another trip to Wasaga cause that was a blast!
Anyways... gotta run. The guys are here to replace my bay window, back door and garage door!
Story of a man... a man with a dream... a man who is destined to RULE THE UNIVERSE!! And I've started by creating 3 perfect little humans.

So last night at about 12:30, Deb and I were jolted awake to Patrick crying and the sounds of footsteps. I could make out the word "puke" in his crying and knew right away what had happened. There was puke all over his sheets, his shirt and his pants. He was trying to sit down in his Tomas chair and was crying histerically. Deb calmed him down and took him to the bathroom to clean him up while I stripped his bed and remade it. Then took everything to the basement and threw it into the wash. Patrick layed back down and went to sleep. We decided to leave his door open if he needed us. Sure enough, a couple hours later, he walked into our room and poked me saying he was all wet. I flicked on the lights and he had thrown up again in his bed. Once again, Deb cleaned him up and I stripped the bed, remade it and threw everything into the laundry. Now this was about 4am. I had been snoring again due to my cold so Deb was now sleeping in the spare room. Anywho, we had all gone back to bed when Patrick came into our room, climbed up on the bed and snuggled in beside me and went to sleep. Needless to say, it wasn't long before I heard the "BLAAAAAPH" as Patrick threw up again. Now I am somewhat ashamed to say 3 very shallow things shot through my mind in a fraction of a second. Number 1. Thank GAWD I had the presence of mind to have Patrick an arm's length away from my head before I fell back to sleep! Number 2. This weas the first night we had used these new sheets and they didn't even make it through a single night!! Number 3. This was supposed to be my day to sleep in but it's not really going to matter! I know these 3 things are pretty shallow and I KNOW I should have been thinking of stuff like "Poor Patrick. He must be feeling horrible" But at this point in the night (or early day), it just wasn't happening!
Moving on, once we got Patrick cleaned up, it was decided it was time to keep him up so we can keep an eye on him. This was at about 5am. I offered to stay awake with him but Deb was already pretty much awake so said she would. So I trundled off back to bed. Ripped off the bottom sheet with puke on it and through on another one, then turned myself into a rolled up Shaun. I was comfortable for all of 10 seconds when I heard a strange licking sound. Turned out 2 of my cats had snuck up stairs and started grooming themselves in our room! Stupid cats! So after booting them out, I got another hours sleep before I got the call from Deb that Patrick had thrown up on the couch. So while she cleaned him AGAIN, I got out the portable furniture cleaner and started working on the couch. Once that was done, I zombied back up to bed for another few hours rest.
So that brings me to now. Patrick hasn't puked in nearly 4 hours. He is exhausted but afraid to sleep. Kat is her annoying self at the momement trying to be too helpful. Deb has gone to a bridal show with my sister and mom here in town. Fresh air will help her! And me trying to keep Kathryn from bothering Patrick.
I'm tired. Oh so tired!
