Well once again it's been awhile since I posted in here. I'd apologize but I don't have the time :) Not too much new on this side of the blinking cursor. I've got 4 days left of work then I'm off for 3 weeks of vacation. Granted it'll be busy with Christmas get togethers and the such... Speaking of Christmas. Patrick and Kathryn got to meet the Grand Tamale' today. Here's a pic!

Time for an update!
To start... KATHRYN IS CRAWLING!! She just couldn't take it anymore being stuck in one spot. She crawls a bit funny but it works and she's happy with it! We're so proud of her but now we have to watch her like a hawk!
Sad news as well... pretty well everyone in our house hold is sick :( Patrick is running a fever, Kathryn has an old man's cough which wakes her up quite a bit at night, I've got a runny, plugged up nose and Deb is fighting something but is probably losing ground because of lack of sleep. All in all... a crummy situation.
Lastly, my co-workers decided to have a bit of fun at my expense today. While I was typing something on the computer, one of the guys came up behind me and slit the caller of my coveralls at the center of my neck. It looked like I was elvis because my caller was so big. Then when we were going over entry and exit into the transfer chambers 2 of the guys got behind me and tore my back down another foot. Now my coveralls are barely hanging on!! I grabbed some duct tape, handed it to the guy I carpool with and told him to tape me up... he proceeded to rip another 6". I was only left with one option. I took the tape, handed it to a civil mainter who was with us and she taped me up trying to not look embarrassed! Now normally I would be fuming mad but for some reason I just wanted to burst out laughing. Anyways... the guys kept trying to get behind me and finish the job which would have left me walking down half the building holding my clothes in my hand... not a pretty picture. So when everyone had thier back turned, I snuck out a back way and took 10 minutes to get back to my locker (I was in a high radiation contaimination zone which means I had to go through 3 sets of scanners). YEESH!!
So there's my day!

One of those days…
Well my day started off rather early. Patrick woke up about 12:30am and was up about every 45 minutes for something or other for the rest of the night. I lost count of how many times I put him back to bed. Then by the time I had to go to work at 5:40… I was totally zonked and forgot to bring my security badge. This meant I had to go to the main guard entrance at Bruce Power, have my car searched and get a visitor badge. Then once at the plant, I had to go to security yet again and get a plant access badge. This then made me late. Once I was in the change room, I had just removed all my normal clothes and was travelling to the other side of the change room to get into my radiation clothing when this fat bastard of a guy rounded a corner and hacked all over my bare chest. Didn’t cover his mouth or anything. He was about to walk away when I let him have it. I won’t go into details but some comments were made about his weight, hygiene, and pulling certain internal organs out through his anus… OK. This all took place BEFORE 7am. Onto the rest of the day. I was volunteered AGAIN to work in the crane all morning. Now this really sucks because… quite frankly I’m tired of working all damn day in the crane! My legs, back and neck get really sore from having to look down for so long. But I sucked it up and went without complaints. Blah blah blah… fast forward to lunch. As I’m coming out of the crane, my boss pulls me aside and tells me that basically all the temporary storage permits that I had petitioned to be made permanent were denied. I spent over a week in paperwork and taking engineers for tours doing this so needless to say I was a little bit frustrated! I also got an email from Deb saying the gas men were coming to hook up our stove that day which may have appeared GOOD news at first but I still had to install a cabinet and microwave above it and had hoped the stove wouldn’t be put in place until AFTER I had finished the work. It later turned out that it was easy to move but still… I worried about it all afternoon! Moving on yet again. When I got home I immediately went to Home Hardware to purchase some melamine board to build the cabinet. When I was in the parking lot some stupid bitch opened her door into me and I dropped to the ground. She basically took out my bad knee. I was SO pissed off I could barely speak and ended up just letting it slide. Then I was purchasing my lumber and the clerk screwed up and under charged me! It took her literally 10 minutes to fix her mistake!! ARG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What else can I say?? It was a horrible day!! OH!! And then my buddy had to cancel our get together for this Saturday which I had been looking forward to. (Don’t worry about it Ron… I understand! Just caught me on a bad day!).
Well there you have it… my shitty ass day in a nutshell.

Home Improvement...
Well as you all know self-improvement has always been a hobby... nay... a PASSION of mine. So I thought I would take a stab at working around the house and see if I can't "self improve" myself by regrowing various parts of my body that have been injured in the process.
Anyways... Here are some pics of the projects.
These few are the pool fence going up. The first couple are about 20 boards and the next set I just completed are another 40 boards. At this rate, I'll be lucky to get done before winter.

This picture is the gaping hole where our stove and microwave will be going. I've already moved the wiring for the stove. I'm just waiting to see the microwave and hood to see if it's direct connect or if i'm going to have to install a box.

Well it’s been awhile since I last blogged so here it comes!! Are ya ready?? HUH HUH HUH??... yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah I didn’t think so…
Well TOO bad!!
First off… Kat is VERY close to crawling!!! She just isn’t QUITE there yet but soon enough. I think she just wants to follow her brother around all day!!
Next in line… Patrick is sleeping in his Big Boy Bed tonight!!!! It was so cute!! He couldn’t wait to go to bed tonight because he knew it was in the big boy bed! Now we’ve had this toddler bed in his room pretty well from the get-go but just used it as a change table. However, Deb decided that after he didn’t nap yet again today but instead just hopped around in his crib and sang… it was time for a change! So she discombobulated the crib after supper while I watched the kids. When I took Patrick up to bed, he hopped right in and started saying “Ni Ni”. THEN he remembered that he needed his PJ’s on so hopped out for Daddy but giggled the whole time. Lil goober. Anyways… he’s up there right now sleeping away. We’ve got a gate in front of his door so he won’t wander around too much but I don’t think it will be a problem if tonight is an accurate example of how he’ll sleep in the bed.
Lastly… Josh and Stephs’ Wedding! It’s DONE!! All over now!!! So much work for one day!!! Hehehe. I gotta hand it to them though (mainly Steph because I know she did a lot of the work)… they certainly put on a good wedding! The wedding took place at a golf course in Acton. It was supposed to be an outdoor wedding but unfortunately, it rained a lot that morning making the ground all gross… then continued to spit for the rest of the day. We DID get the pictures done outside though which is what they really wanted so it’s all good. The wedding itself was great and aside from a ring bearer doing a faceplant into the floor during the ceremonies, it went off with only the intended “hitch” (sorry… couldn’t resist). The day was long… the night even longer and it was about 2am by the time I got back to the hotel. 3am before one of the other groomsmen decided 4 budwiesers was enough for the night. Blech… I hate Bud and now my car reeks of it because I had the open case in my trunk for a day and a half! The only crummy thing about the wedding was that Deb couldn’t be there for too much of it because of Kat’s feeding schedule. But she did make it to the ceremony with Kat (who was a HUGE hit) then came back for a couple hours of the reception.
There… you are now kind of caught up. Oh wait… one more thing. I’ve started rebuilding the pool fence that I tore down a month and a half ago!! Jeez I hate leaving stuff like that!! But I just got so busy!! HONEST!! Anyways… at the rate I’m going, I’ll be lucky to have it done by snowfall!!

Stag Weekend Come and Gone...
Well... the Stag weekend is over. All in all it was a good time unfortunately... my buddies can't really hold thier alcohol which decided to spew forth the next day... cancelling our trip to wonderland. Needless to say, I was pretty P.O'd. But let me back up a bit. I'll give you a bit of a rundown on Saturday night to the best of my abilities since I seem to have a few holes in my memories after about 9pm.
So Whitworth, Mike, Aultman, Chris (Whitworth's co-worker) and I started our evening at Hooters in Barrie for Whitworths stag. We attached a Skull and chain to Whitworth's ankle symbolizing the ol'ball and chain bit. He looked fairly stupid but it was quite the conversation starter so it was all good. Once the girls found out it was a stag, he was pretty much treated like royalty... granted royalty that is pretty far down the line and has been so inbred thier eyes are crossed, but royalty none the less. Stickers, Blow up boobs, shots, etc. We got there about 7:30 and just continued drinking like mad to get the evening started. By the time we left around 9:30 or so, whitworth and I were pretty much laced. I don't have any tolerance for alcohol anymore but I wanted to keep whitworth drinking so I thought I should lead by example. I drank a pitcher on my own with a few shots of something or other mixed in there in about an hour. That is ALOT for me and it was only the beginning of the night.
Flash Forward... Next bar.
The next bar we hit, there was a staggett going on so of course we started drinking with them. They even had a list of stupid stuff the bride had to do which they altered for Whitworth to do for the rest of the night. I won't get into specifics about the list but lets just say it could land us in jail if you asked the wrong person ("She sure as hell didn't look like no cop!" kinda stuff). Good thing Whitworth looked so harmless and stupid with the ball and chain, hooters stickers all over himself, and a pair of balloons that looked like hooters tied to his chest.
Flash Forward... Next bar.
K... i'm a lil fuzzy here. I think there was another staggett at this one... but can't quite remember. A lot more drinking involved. I think Aultman had to buy a couple girls some drinks after whitworth tried getting them to do something from the list... but once again... i'm a lil fuzzy here. I DO remember accidentally ripping off about a 15' handrail off the stair well wall. I SWEAR IT WAS AN ACCIDENT! I guess I don't know my own strength when i'm drinking. The bouncer kinda gave me a funny look cause he knew I didn't do it intentionally and I don't think we wanted to mess with me anyways after I did that. Needless to say, I got the guys to leave there in a big hurry right after it happened.
Flash Forward... Next bar.
Now this could have been the rippers... which we got turned away from because we weren't sober enough. No biggie, I couldn't see straight at this point anyways.
Flash Forward... Next bar.
I have no idea on this one. I was just following the crowd and was totally incoherent.
Flash Forward... Next bar.
I think this was a country bar. Boy did I ever feel out of place! I hate country! and everyone was wearing cowboy hats and cowboy boots. So... I did what anyone would do when they are uncomfortable!... "Coor's please" I had a couple of those I think but by this time... my legs felt like jello.
Flash Forward... Next bar.
Now I think this one had a cover band playing that were really good. They did some Franz Ferdinand stuff and beastie boy stuff. Really good too. Had a few shots here but by now... everything tasted the same.
Flash Forward... Next bar.
Alright... i'm lost now. I can't remember anything from this one.
Flash Forward... Back to the hotel.
We were really toasted... Yet we were told whitworth HAD to have his contacts out otherwise he would get an infection. And he was in NO shape to do it. He kinda passed out halfway between the bathroom and the hall. Aultman kept trying to get them out but he's never worn contacts before so I ended up doing it. Granted it took me awhile to figure out which set of eyes looking up at me were the real ones! You should not screw around with someones eyes when you are drunk!! Anyways... I got the lil bastards out with only mild damage to his pupils. Stupid idiot should have worn glasses! hehe
Flash Forward... the next day.
Alright... I was up at 5:30 and just stared at the cieling for a few hours not wanting to wake anyone up. I then hopped into the shower at 8 (still no one up), went downstairs and got breakfast which I then ate outside. Came back up... Still no one up. At this point i'm getting cheesed off. We were suppose to go to wonderland and the park opened at 10 but no one was ready to go yet. Mike and Aultman eventually got up and had a lil puking contest. Which sucked. But whitworth was totally wasted still. He FINALLY got some clothes on about 10:55.. 5 mins before checkout. It was deemed that wonderland was a no go since I was the only one that actually came through the night alright yet I drank more then anyone except whitworth! and not by much! So I was going to drive aultman and whitworth back to beeton then just head home. THAT SUCKED! I was SO looking forward to wonderland!! Anyways... I got about 30' from the hotel and had to pull over so whitworth could empty his stomach... AGAIN. There was no way I was going to take him on a 40 min drive back to beeton in that condition so we hit a tim hortons and waited it out for 1/2 hour. Eventually he settled a bit and we made it back to beeton where he promptly puked again then laid down in Aultman's spare bed.
And that... was the weekend in a nutshell.

Carmel Popcorn... and The Discovery Channel
How's THAT for a title???
Well... I made carmel popcorn tonight on a whim. Didn't have any peanuts in it which blows but it still came out alright. Sugar could have been condensed a bit more but all in all... pretty good. Last time I tried to make it Deb and the kids had gone to her folks. Actually... I think it was before Kat was even born. Lets just say it didn't turn out well... at all.
AND... I might be on the discovery channel before too long on a program similar to "How it's made" called "How'd they do that" or something like that. The scout for the film crew is coming tomorrow and I'll probably end up giving him a tour. Then the crew is coming around the 18th I believe. Now i'm not too interested to get any up close pictures taken because... well quite frankly I've got a face and body for radio! It'll probably be a mute point anyways because my immediate boss is a real Shmoozer so I'm sure he'll be all over the camera crew! It will be kinda cool to have something on film that my friends and family can see! It's hard explaining what I do at work and I can never get the scale of things right! Anyways... I'll keep ya posted.

Magoo Is So Funny!!!
oh and Magoo is Patrick's nickname for anyone that doesn't know. Actually it is either Magoo or if we are feeling especially lubby dubby... it's My-Goo. It was what we called him when Deb was still preggers with him.
ANYWAYS... back onto topic. Patrick and I were playing with this little Hackey/Soccer ball. I would hold it in my hand and he would try to pry my fingers off of it... eventually he started getting frustrated so I rolled it on the floor and laid down on it. Needless to say he had a rough time trying to get it out. Eventually I rolled a bit so he could get it and out of the blue... he said "Ta Da!!". Deb and I have never heard him say that before!! It was just so stinking cute!!
And that's all I have to say about that.

I broke 230lbs FINALLY... by about .2lbs but still!! I haven't weighed this little in about 10 years... well. I actually have but that was due to massive dehydration. Felt like a california raisin after that. I'm pretty sure I'll gain that .2lbs back since I'm having McDonalds tomorrow come hell or high water! But I won't go nuts. Then I'm sure I'll lose a few more pounds with this next 6 day work week. BLECH! I hate work... I need to win the lottery and buy an island... something that has tropical weather on one side and gorgeous ski and snowboarding weather and slopes on the other... yes.... I think I would like that.

Weight Loss
Oh yeah... on other news. I'm trying to lose weight both for myself and cause the doctor told me to... But mainly for myself!
Anyways... I've hovered between 238lbs and 245lbs for the last... nearly 10 years. Never really going higher then that and NEVER going lower. So over the past 3 weeks I've lowered my intake and done a bit more excercise. I'm now down to 230.2. I can't seem to break that 230 mark no matter how much I torture myself!
Don't get me wrong here either... I've weighed that much for a long time but it's not all fat. I'm "big boned" as Eric Cartman would say! My first goal is to get to 210 which is where the doc wants me. But my goal is to get around 190 or so.
And there you have it folks!

So Very Very Sore...
What does 65 bags of concrete each weighing 66lbs carried over a 100 feet and down some stairs equal. Keep in mind that is 4290lbs or just over 2 tons. I'll tell you what it equals... It equals a body full of hurt! My knee's and forearms are so sore I can barely sit down and barely hold onto a glass!
But it's done... it's finally FINALLY done. The concrete along the pool is poured and looks pretty good. Being a McLaren... it was my original thought that it would be difficult but not TOO bad. THAT thought is hard wired into my brain though no matter the task. BUT also being a McLaren... in which Murphy's law is the family credo... things didn't go according to plan. First off, it took a lot longer then expected. 1pm-9pm. Next, despite careful measurements, I was about 25 bags off the number I thought I would need. So we had to send my mom in the truck for 2 more loads of concrete. And Lastly, we worked so long that it was nightfall and not a whole lot of lighting. Hence the concrete around the shed isn't really up to my exacting standards but... IT'S DONE! I guess the best thing that happened is that I didn't lose a bag of concrete into the pool!
Anyways... I'm sore and tired right now and can barely move. But my In-Laws and the 3 nieces are coming over for the day for a pool party. So I need to go take some drugs.
Bye All
PS. I'll try getting some pics on eventually.

Friggin Sprinkles...
Deb made these cupcakes for when Sara, Derek and the girls came over this weekend. Problem is they didn't make it due to illness and we had all these cupcakes to eat. So I took one to work with me today. Well the cupcakes have these red/pinkish sprinkles all over the top of them. No biggie except when I got back out to work, a few of the mechanics were laughing at me and I couldn't figure out why. Could have been my frizzy hair... my lumbering ape walk... my bloody knuckles from dragging them on the ground... but nope. It wasn't any of the obvious and normal things. It was because I had red/pinkish sprinkles all over my lips that looked like bloody glitter. So naturally when I figured it out, I altered my stance, raised the octave of my voice, looked those bastards straight in the eyes and said in my best gay voice (which is actually quite good) "You're just jealous you couldn't pull off red glitter in these outfits like I can". That shut them up. Nothing like the possibility of a homosexual sueing you for sexual harassment to get your mind back on your job.
That's the story and I'm sticking to it...
Good night my fellow bloggers.

My Lil girl has an "Old Man Face"!!!!!
Kathryn has taken up to tucking her bottom lip up under her nose, which in turn scrunches up her face. She looks like an old man with no dentures!!! I caught her with the camera briefly while she was doing this but I only caught the tail end of it. Her bottom lip can literally be almost tucked under her nose!! Here's the pic.

Oh... and on a final note for this post, Kathryn now has 2 bottom teeth with the possibility of a third on the top this week!
ummm... and on a final FINAL note.... we're trying to wean Kathryn off of the boob at night. This entails yours truly to go in when she cries and try shoving a Nuk into her mouth. It took me 45 mins last night but she FINALLY went to sleep. I have a feeling this is going to be a very long week. Probably shouldn't have decided to do all my concreteing this week. Go figure.

I hate being sick...
Well... I caught a bug or something. I'm going to blame it on one of the guests at the stag and doe. I'm not sure who but I hope they are rotting in a puddle of snot right now!! It started out as a bit of a head cold monday night. Nothing too serious but I was snoring quite a bit so woke up with a bit of a dry throat and cheesed off wife. Then Tuesday it got progressively worse and I ended that day with a really runny nose. Then Tuesday night, it really hit me. Plus it didn't help that Kathryn was up a lot in the night. Her new thing is to only go an hour and a half between feedings. Lil goob. So I ended up staying home wednesday with a pretty bad headache brought on by the head cold. Fast forward to Wednesday night.... head is still pretty crummy but the headache is going away (may have something to do with all the drugs I took!!). But the cold decided to move down into my chest. Now it feels like I have a couple of bowling balls sitting on my chest and I get winded doing the smallest movements. JUST FRIGGIN LOVERLY! So here it is thursday... I'm still home from work which blows. So.... yeah... that's about it.... ummmm... how are you guys?

Thank the Maker it's over!!!
Alright... the Stag and Doe is over and done with along with my Tux fitting (yes that was an ordeal too because I'm a little butterball and not too proud of that fact).
To begin with, Deb, the kids and I drove to Orangeville friday afternoon and set up in my inlaws empty house (they were away on vacation). About 4pm, I left to go to the Aultmans to help get everything in order for the next day. Blah blah blah blah blah. I ended up leaving about 11:30 and got back to the house at about midnight. Then we were up early the next day with the kids. We headed to Walmart then I was able to sneek in a quick nap before we had to leave to go to a wedding reception BBQ in Erin. Now I don't tend to nap well. I don't fall asleep quickly and when I do, I slide right into REM sleep so it takes me forever to wake up. So usually I just avoid the whole thing. But this time I thought I should try. Anyways, we then went to the BBQ which was really nice despite not knowing really anyone. Kathryn was pretty good but Patrick kept saying "Bye" to everyone and pointing to the way out. So we really only stayed for just over an hour which kinda sucked. Deb was really looking forward to it so I was hoping we could stay longer. HOWEVER, the other reason we had to leave was because in my infinitismal wisdom, downed a smirnoff ice in a couple chugs so I could chase after Patrick. Well I haven't really drank that much in the last several years and haven't had a smirnoff in a very long time. It only took about 2 minutes to hit me and I got woozy. Then a couple minutes after that, I broke out into sweats and had HORRIBLE stomach pains (Like heartburn). It felt like I was on fire on the inside! Deb gave me a couple tums which helped after awhile but I felt SO horrible. It was too the point where I didn't even know if I could make it to the stag and doe. But by the time we had gotten home, I had recouped enough to leave again.
So therrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre I was..... motor oil smeared alllllllllll over my body.... she came in with a pair of jumper cables.... oh wait. Wrong story. Sorry about that.
The Stag and Doe!
It started off fairly slow... then people started to trickle in but they were all older people. None of the actual "friends" of the bride and groom really came until a bit later. And even then... it was a very slow trickle. We were really worried that not enough people would show and we wouldn't even break even. Then a larger group of our friends showed up but the buggers barely drank anything and didn't really play that many games!! Bunch of Hosers! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!... but it turns out it was all good. Despite the fact that no one really danced (so much for my music downloads) and no one really drank that much, we were able to make a profit with all the games we did. I won't say how much because we're still figuring that out.
Anywho.... we figured we had about 75 people there which was less then we hoped but still good. It would appear everyone had a good time and the bride and groom were happy. I just wish my darling wife could have made it! But she had her own troubles (see my wife's blog).
After clean up, we got back to Josh and Carry's place about 2am. Josh and I were going to stay up a bit and talk because we were a lil keyed up but decided to go to bed instead. However, I wish I hadn't because my mind was racing until about 4am... then I was up with the twins and Josh at about 7am. BLECH
Onto the tux fitting the next day....
Hmmmm... got my tux fitted with Josh and Ethan in Brampton the next day. Not much else to say. Oh... we stopped in Acton and saw the club where Whitworth and Steph are getting married. Holy Smokes!! Very Posh!! I'm goin to feel SO out of place!!! Oh well... their funeral! I mean wedding!! hehehe
OK... I'm tired. I should have written more but... well screw ya! I'M TIRED DAMN IT!

Gone for the weekend...
Well it's a busy weekend this weekend. We leave for Orangeville today right after my doctors appt. Once there, we'll do a bit of grocery shopping then settle in at Mom and Dad's (who are away). Then I'm off to the Aultmans to help prep for the stag and doe tomorrow night. Not sure how long that will take. I've got to figure out how to hook up a rented stero system to a laptop.
Then on saturday, we're heading to Cathy and Chris's reception BBQ for a couple hours. Should be pretty good except i'll know next to no one :( Then it's back to the Aultmans to grab all the stuff and head to Caledon East for the Stag and Doe. When that is over around 1ish, i'm crashing at the Aultmans.
Then sunday, Josh, Aultman, Ethan and I are heading to Brampton to get fitted for Tux's. All in all... a very busy weekend in which I'll need a weekend to recoup!
ummmm.... yeah.... the end... or better yet....

Hot Damn! A Day Off!
I took the day off today to take care of the kids while Deb went to the dentist AND to try and give Deb a break and let her get caught up on her sleep. Right now, Deb has a couple friends over for a lil play session. I'm downstairs because I think I make the kids a little bit nervous. They are pretty young and when they see a big guy, they get a little iffy!
So right now I'm downloading more music for the Stag and Doe this weekend. I think i've got more then enough right now but I'm still downloading! I know i'm going to miss some songs and kick myself!
Hmmm... not sure what else to write... It's going to be a busy weekend. Going to Orangeville friday. I'm heading to Carry and Josh's friday night to help prep for the stag and doe. Then Saturday to Erin for a BBQ for Deb's friends. Then Saturday night, I'm heading out to the Stag and Doe, and will probably crash at Carry and Josh's. Then sunday i'm out with the guys getting fitted for tuxes. Not sure what we're going to do after that.
SO BUSY!
Plus I've worked about 30 hours OT this past couple weeks. It's a lot of work and Dry Storage right now is a nightmare so it's no fun at all. But the good news is my OT over the past couple months has paid off the pool entirely. The next couple OT shifts will pay for windows!... and after that... new fence around the pool. It's all going somewhere but still.... BLECH!

Good Grief...
Kathryn woke me up about 12:45 giggling. I tried putting in her Nuk but she promptly spit it out and started giving me a lecture on how it wasn't the REAL thing. So Deb got up. In the meantime, I went downstairs to get a drink. Noticed my Harry Potter book and decided to read a chapter. Well here it is.... 3:15am. I'm still not done the book but i'm about a 120 pages further along. I think i've only got another couple chapters before I'm done. YEESH!! Stupid Book!! It's going to be the death of me!!

TOO HOT!!!
Yeesh... I roasted yet again at work. I spent the last 4 hours at work scrubbing a giant flask trying to decontaminate it (Get rid of radioactive particles). While doing this, I'm in coveralls AND a tyvex suit which is basically a paper suit so I don't get contaminated. But they damn things don't breath!!! By the end of the day I was drenched :( Then to top it all off, I had to put in a bioassay sample (pee sample). Do ya think I had enough in me?? NOPE! It was like a really old dog lifting his leg and a little wisp of smoke coming out. On the plus side though, I'm still losing weight! Down to a 36. I figure I'll be hovering around a 30 by the end of the summer. Assuming I just don't collapse first! My diet isn't quite as good as Deb's though. At least when she loses the weight, it'll STAY off. Mine will be back!

Been an intersting couple of days...
Alright... picture your mind/heart as a vast frozen lake as far as the eye can see. When you are born, there is nothing there but a light covering of snow. Nothing to mire the crisp beauty of the landscape. As people and experiences pass through your existence, they leave tracks. These tracks form what is essentially you. Now imagine something falling through that ice leaving a gaping hole. Cracks stretching through the landscape effecting everything. Cutting through old tracks and not allowing others to be formed. Flash forward in time. The hole has slowly frozen over again, cracks have nearly dissappeared. But nothing refreezes the same. The hole may have frozen over but it still stands out in the landscape. It may now be safe to walk on... but it just doesn't feel the same. Should it just be closed off or should tentative steps be taken on it...?
That... in a bloody big metaphoric nutshell... has been my last couple of days. Enjoy the image i painted. You would think I was on hell of a trip when I came up with it!
ADDENDUM:
I guess I was too caught up in playing with the words that I left something out! I've also got a few new "lakes" in my head that no one but the people they belong to can touch! They are in reverse order "Lake Up A Lot In The Middle Of The Night Talking", "Lake Defiant But Still Cute" and "Lake Puts Up With A Lot Of My Shit But Still Loves Me". That Is All!

Weird....
First off... I'd just like to say that Canadian Overhead Crane can't program a crane worth crap! It's just one error after another. And the guys they trained to fix it... are as useful as chicken shit on a pump handle. I ended up having to do most of the debugging and trouble shooting myself. Bunch of idiots.
And secondly... I feel weird. Don't know why and don't know how. Just am feeling weird and I don't think I like it.
That is all.... Carry on with the rest of your lives.
And Sorry but no funny stories today... It's hard to have a funny story when you're stuck 80' up for most of the day in sweltering heat.

Shaun and the "Dream Underwear"
Alright... the day started out crappy. I basically got reamed out at work by a coworker but he didn't actually use my name. Just made it obvious it was me. Now... I'm the guy that pretty well gets along with everyone and is a mediator between this idiot and our boss. So I usually do this guy a lot of favours... but for some reason, he got it into his head to attack me this morning. I won't get into details because then I would have to explain my job which would just take too damn long. Anyways... I was all raring to go at his throat this morning. I had a thousand lines for him and could have pointed out how lazy he was and etc.... but I didn't. I just sat there and took it. And I'm not sure why. I guess I'm just getting tired of always having to defend myself and the things that I do to some people. Not to toot my own horn or anything but I know for a fact that this multi-million dollar (closer to Billion dollar if you take into account that we could have shut down the plants for good) would never have happened without my contributions. And that SHOULD make me feel great. But it doesn't. For some reason, knowing a person thinks I'm not working up to expectations just rubs me the wrong way. So I guess I didn't push back because I know I could never change the persons' mind afterwards. Stupid logic I know.
Anyways... onto the story about the Dream Underwear.
I got changed into my radiation clothing after lunch. This includes underwear. Anyways... I was in a rush and just pulled it out of the bin not really looking at it. I put it on, then my coveralls and run out to the crane. On the way, I could feel the underwear slide around a lot... they were REALLY loose. I just assumed it was someone's Dream Underwear... IE. they dreamt they could fit into it and stretched the elastic until it was nearly non-existent. SOOO... they are REALLY loose on me. By the time I get into the crane, the damn things had nearly slid down to my one knee under my coveralls. So I figured... "NUTS TO THIS". So while I was in the crane which is 80 feet up, and no one was watching, I unzipped and was able to remove them without even taking off my coveralls! Whoever dreamt they could fit into them was ONE FAT BASTARD!. So i spent the rest of the afternoon going commando in coveralls. And let me tell you something... the inside of a zipper on a pair of radiation coveralls is SHARP.
There... that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Alright... the day started out crappy.

Holy Crap I Missed a lot in a week!
Deb and the kids got home today! Patrick greeted me at the door full of "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy!" which was so great! But what really surprised me is that Kathryn has grown in a week!! Plus she now talks!!! She is full of "Mama" and "Bah Bah Bah!". This has thrilled Deb since the first words out of Patrick's mouth were "Daddy" and he is only now starting to Say "Mom". But even that is a stretch! Anyways... It was great to be together again with them! My wife has lost even more weight. She looks friggin amazing! But those old shorts have to go hun. I'm sorry.
Now... onto the lighter side of things. It is very warm where I work... and my weight tends to fluctuate about 10pounds or so from beginning to end of day. Anywho... When I went to work this morning I put on some shorts that were a lil snug not really thinking it would be a problem. But when I put them back on at lunch.... WOOSH! they were around my ankles in the middle of the cafeteria when I was trying to get an apple juice out of the machine. I had lost 2-4 inches in a span of 5 hours. If I weren't so OK with my body and able to make fun of myself, I may have died of embarassement. Instead... I did a lil strip tease act for the older ladies at the next table while trying to pull up my shorts. Moral of the story.... well... I can't really think of one right now. I never liked morals anyways. So enjoy the story for what it is!

Alright... it seems I have a few more people reading this blog then what I thought... and to those of you that read my blog, here is what I have to say... "That.... is.... so.... sad" hehehehehe
It's weird knowing there are quite a few people who read this! And now i'm kind of glad I never let loose the inner... ummmm... creature that is me on this!!! And that was my original intent but after I wrote the first blog, I decided against it. I tried keeping it light and just about what was going on in my life and not in my mind. SOOOO... to that end, I apologize for the rage that I unleashed a while back. You kind of got a taste what lies beneath the class clown. I thought about deleting the entry but I left it in as a reminder to those of you who know me and a warning to those of you just getting to know me, that looks can be deceiving... and that I'm not like those Germans that are all "smiles and sunshine" (Sorry to any of you who are germans). I have feelings too and although I tend to bury them under smiles and jokes, they are still there and are still very real... and eventually it gets to be too much and I snap! I know I know... not the healthiest thing in the world to be doing. Especially for a guy that handles Radioactive materials all day long!! That's like telling a postal worker that his wife left him..... for the dog that always attacked him on his route... and burned his baseball card collection.... THEN handing him a gun and telling him he has to work the holiday monday at normal pay or else he's fired. OK OK... maybe it's not THAT bad but it's bad enough! The good thing is if I ever develope a tumor from all my inner turmoil that I keep bottled up.... It's a good bet I've got something at work that will zap the lil bastard out of existence!! ALWAYS GOT TO LOOK ON THE POSITIVE SIDE OF THINGS!! hehehehe
Alright... I got a bit silly there but you people catch my meaning. It all basically comes down to this, I'm a pretty easy going guy and I forgive a lot (Who needs the stress/baggage??). But don't ever lie to me no matter what the reason. I'm an adult and I'll deal with whatever you throw at me accordingly. I've gone through too damn much when people lie to me and I'm never going back to that dark place.
Pretty simple yes?? DON'T LIE TO ME. 4 little words. And i'm sure you all feel the same way!
Sooooooooooooo..... This will probably be it for the heavy stuff (and I use the term lightly... oh jeez... Heavy Light Stuff??) And I'll also try to update this more now that I know people are interested in my life. Here's a taste of things to come.... "Shaun's Commissioning Project is done and full production begins... HELLO 64 HOUR WORK WEEKS :(" and the ever so popular "Shaun and his lesson in WSIB work claims". Oh Joy... I can't wait for that particular one!! NOT!!!
Good Night Everyone...

Blog Explosion!
Well here I am writing again. It's got to be some kind of record for me! Anyways... It's 2:47am and I can't sleep. Those damn clown's are hovering and they look hungry! Actually, it's my mind that is racing again. It's been awhile since it's done this and it usually comes up with some pretty insightful things when it's like this. And this time is no different!! However, I'm not going to blog about them this time. I'm going to simmer on them and refine it a little before I say anything. And even then, it'll probably just be to my darling wife. So sorry blog readers! Kind of dangling a carrot in front of you then eating it in front of you! hehehe
Anyways... I should figure out how to get to sleep. I can't go and read Harry Potter because it's not boring and i'll probably read it till the sun comes up! I'll figure something out.

Get Together
Well... I had a really great time seeing some old friends today. It was just what I needed to forget about this week. Ron and his wife Catherine came up. It was my first time meeting Catherine in person and she's a real peach :) hehehe Carrie and her fiance Jason (Jay) also came up and it was great seeing them as well. I hadn't seen Carrie in about 7 years but it was just like old times. She's so easy going. Jason was just as easy going and they make a great couple. Justin (Carrie's cousin) also was able to make it up and aside from his voice a bit deeper, he hasn't changed a bit! It's been nearly 15 years since I saw him last!! We basically sat around the pool the whole time just talking and making fun of each other. The only thing I would have changed is having Deb and the kids there. I showed them the DVD pictures Lisa made of Patrick for his christmas present and they thought it was excellent! They all can't wait to meet Deb and the kids and I can't wait for Deb to meet them. They are very down to earth and are VERY easy going so they are easy to start conversations with. That always seemed to be the hard thing to do for most of my other friends wives. Anyways, next time we are all in Orangeville, we're all to head over to visit Carrie and Jason (They are just a couple minutes away) AND we're to drive to fergus to visit the Kellers.
I CAN'T WAIT FOR DEB TO MEET THEM!!

Alright.... I've calmed down a bit so people can stop worrying. I still agree with everything I said. But my stress levels have dropped... Granted that may be because of the bunch of drugs I just took to knock my pain levels down in my head. But who cares... the ends justify the means don't they?!?! :)
Anyways... My supper just walked up to the door.
Thankyou to all of you that messaged me as soon as they read my blog. It was what I needed and didn't even realize it.

Alright.... here's my post.
I AM SO PISSED OFF RIGHT NOW!... and hurt! My so called friends have once again left me out of the loop so to speak. This has been happening for a long time now... I can actually give you a date to within a couple months but for this rants sake, it's been years and leave it at that! I'm going to keep this intentionally vague so i'm sorry for those out there that actually read my blog. I'm not really sure there is a point to keeping it vague because the friends I'm talking about probably don't give a shit about what goes on in my life anyways. Just as long as it doesn't effect them or their plans! Well Fuck Them!! I'm tired of this shit!! I'm tired of ALWAYS having to make the effort!! I'm not even really sure how many close friends I actually have now that I think about it... aside from my wife who doesn't count (no offence meant hun but you know what I mean).... ohhhh.... a big fat goose egg comes to mind! I used to be everyone's friend!! The person everyone would go to because I could keep confidences. The person who could always make you laugh even when you were feeling like shit. I thought that's what best friends are for... WRONG!! When I hit a rough spot in my life, most of my friends bailed on me. Some stuck around and did their best to make things right... to help me through it. And for that I'm grateful. But soon afterwards, they started drifting away which you would think was logical for highschool friends and even public school friends as they grow up. But you see... they just drifted away from me... for the most part, the ties between THEM grew stronger but I was left out in the cold. Like I had some sort of fucking disease. Now and then I'd get a pity look, an invitation to a old best friends wedding, a phone call then and now... almost as a courtesy. But in a lot of ways that's worse. To find out about get togethers and how much fun they had... After the fact. Every now and then someone would slip and say "You should have been there" or "Where were you?!?". I just want to say "Next time, get your stories straight so I don't find out".
At first it didn't bother me too much and I figured if I make a greater effort, call people more, set things up more, I would be someone they would want to hang around with again and all this would go away. But it has been YEARS AND I'M FUCKING DONE WITH IT! Who needs close friends when they can so easily treat you like shit!!??! I've got one more thing to do with this lot and I'll do it like I do everything in life, to the best of my abilities. But when that's done, they can all piss off. I'm not going to be treated like that anymore by them or anyone else. No One Should.

Well it's been nearly a month and a half... time to update!
hmmm... update... update... hmmmmm...
Well here's the basic stuff. Kathryn is growing like a weed. She is VERY alert and is able to grasp things that are near to her. She WAS going through the night for a BRIEF time. When I say going through the night... I mean without eating. I would still get up to give her her Nyuk and she would usually go back to sleep. However, that has recently changed. We figure she is teething and is now quite the grump. She fed last night twice which blew. She is going to bed WAY earlier then normal but isn't napping throughout the day. Needless to say, Mommy is NOT a happy camper.
Patrick is also growing but more intellectually. He is starting to string together sentences and his vocab is growing quite nicely. Strangers are starting to be able to understand him which is nice! For the most part, he is a well tempered little boy. Just hope he stays that way!
Deb and I have our up days and down days like normal. It's usually caused by lack of sleep which makes our nerves a little "frazzled". We're going through one of those times right now. I'm just glad I know it's a transitory thing and goes away!
Work is still really hectic. This is my last week of 8 hour shifts then I start on 10 hour shifts for who knows how long. The project i've been working on is nearly ready to go full swing but we keep hitting snags and guys in my group are so tired they've been taking a lot of time off which kinda leaves me up the creek so to speak. Oh well... I'll get through it like I always do.
Lastly... The pool!! It's fixed and it's swimmable!! I'm still waiting on a stupid skimmer basket so I can add all my chemicals but it's been several weeks now with no skimmer basket. It's starting to really tick me off! But I can still swim in it right now and that's all that matters. Patrick enjoys it but only as long as he's running along the sides and not actually in the pool. We're still waiting a couple weeks before Kathryn goes in so she can wear sun screen.
Anyways... That's it for me!! Talk at ya later!

It's been such a long time since I posted in here last!! I find I have so very little time with the weather getting better and the kids (and their parents) getting sick! I basically get up, go to work, come home, try to give Deb a break, play with the kids then hope they will go to sleep early so I can as well. Repeat Repeat REPEAT! Almost seems like a rut but I'm cool with it for now!
Anyways... Biggest news is Patrick Celebrated his 2 year birthday last sunday! I can't believe how quickly the time is going and how big he and his sister are getting. Just seems like yesterday he was smaller then Kathryn. To celebrate we had a whole bunch of family over on the saturday afternoon and had a little BBQ. Things went really well! Patrick and Kathryn were in good moods and behaved very well. He even enjoyed opening up his gifts! All in all, it was a great party for him! He got a TON of stuff but his favourite thing was a book that had lights in it. Once he opened it, GAME OVER! wouldn't even look at the other gifts!
Moving on... well, it's all minor stuff so I won't really move on. Would be pretty anti-climatic! OH WAIT! I went to see Spiderman-3 last night with Dad. Great Movie! I was especially impressed with Topher Grace as Eddie Brock/Venom. I didn't think he could pull it off but he did a great job. ESPECIALLY as Venom!
Anyways... this is me... signing off

Alright... I consider myself a very patient man... and am hoping that i'm a good father... but my kids are starting to irk the hell out of me!!! BOTH of them are whiny and throwing little tantrums and they probably have a good reason... but I don't care!!!
and this computer is pissing me off too. I'm typing at a funky angle and my palm keeps hitting the touch pad and moves me to a different line. SCREW IT!

It's Been Awhile!
OK... First up... I've been back to work for a couple weeks now. It's been insanely busy with commissioning of the dry storage facility. But i don't want to bore anyone with that! I have been pulling in a lot of overtime which is kinda hard for Deb but it's all going towards fixing our pool up for this year so she doesn't mind. I'll have you know I ALWAYS ask her first before I take any.
Next... The kids are growing in leaps and bounds! Patrick is a little parrot now when he's in the mood. Unfortunatly after he recovered from his stomach bug, he decided to get a jump on the terrible two's! He now has become rather defiant and will throw temper tantrums when he doesn't get his way. Those are become less frequent and don't last as long as they did but still... ARG!! And at this age, all you can do is ignore him because he doesn't understand punishments yet. Now before anyone says you should give him time-outs or spank him (2 different camps on that), he's not quite at that point that he'll understand either. So by ignoring his rants, he IS learning that they don't do much good. And THAT is working.
Kathryn is now 3 months old and is VERY alert. She grabs at toys and eats her hands. She also farts like an old man which is hilarious. And she'll probably kill me for writing that when she gets older BUT IT'S TRUE!
Deb is doing pretty good except she had a lil accident today and screwed up her ankle. Now she's pretty sore and hobbling around. She'll have to take it easy this weekend so I'll ATTEMPT to give her as many breaks as possible. Problem is she doesn't like sitting still!
That pretty well wraps it up except for one last thing. Deb got me to sign up for this thing on the net called Facebook. It's a way to reconnect with old friends and the like. I didn't want to really join something else on the net but I started getting a lot of invites to it so what the hell... i joined! And I'm so glad I did!! I reconnected with an old friend of mine that I haven't seen in nearly 15 years! And it was as if we picked up right where we left off! Now I have quite a few friends but not many close friends. This guy was one of my closest and boy am I glad that we had the chance to start things up again!
So... peace everyone!
OK...

Bad News, Good News, Bad News....
I'm going to make this brief!
Bad News... This is my last week off before going back to work. THIS SUCKS!
Good News... We got a second vehicle this week!! A Chevy Aveo named Attilla! :)
Bad News... My poor Patrick has a stomach bug. He threw up twice yesterday which he has never really done before so it freaked him right out, and he's got the runs something awful. POOR GUY!!! :(
I'm sure there is lots more going on that I should talk about but I'm tired and have a bit of a headache so it just ain't going to happen!

Time for an update!
Well currently I'm sitting at my inlaws computer seeing that we're stranded in orangeville due to the weather. It's an ACTUAL storm right now... none of this "oh we THINK there is a storm coming so we are closing everything down" kind of thing like they do here now all the time. I tell you... the people running the buses for schools and such are a bunch of whiners and complainers and don't belong running things. And as for the parents who agree with them... society has absolutly no use for them and they should be put in a canon and fired at the sun! They ACTUALLY will close schools and cancel buses if there is even a hint of storm down here! I can't believe it!!! The day will be crystal clear out and maybe start getting cloudy around 3 or so. But if it looks like they may get a little rain in the next... oh... WEEK or so!!, they close down!! BUNCH OF WUSSIES!!!!
Anyways... enough about that rant.
The biggest news currently is that my wife is sick. And we're not sure with what. She was rushed to emerg saturday night with debilitating pain and they admitted her right away. You can read all about it at my wifes blog (lady of port). Anyways... when it was all said and done, I was super pissed at the doctors and more so with the administration at the hospital in orangeville. And my wife STILL can't eat anything other then a few crackers and some soup. Great since she is breast feeding!!! Yeesh. So we'll go to our own doctor when we get home and get it figured out. We're thinking it may be along the lines of an ulcer or the valve isn't closing right in her stomach. Time will tell.
I think that about wraps it up! Tune in later when I tell you about the new car we're getting!!

Time for a *SNAP* *CRACKLE* *POP*
Yes... it's way past due for my trip to the Chiro office. Deb and Patrick are there right now since they had some openings today due to the weather. I'm going in about 1/2 hour. Currently my neck and back feel like they've been ripped out and put back in by someone smoking a butt load of crack! I don't know if I slept funny or it's just the strain of carrying Patrick and Kathryn that are finally taking their toll.
Anywho.... Not too much else to report. Everyone is doing pretty good. We're still trying to figure out Kathryn's eating/sleeping cycle. It almost appears as if she's on a 48 hour cycle which kinda blows. It means every other night she is up every other hour. Blech! It makes for a long day the next day. Even Patrick is frazzled after those nights!
Anywho... almost time to go!

Things have gotten a bit better...
Well we learned something. Never feed a woman who is nursing hot salsa. Setting the aside the effects it tends to have on an adult's digestive system, it wreaks absolute HAVOC on a nursing infants! We figure thats what happened to Kathryn a couple days ago. Intense gas pains! She's better now and has actually taken a soother which we will call a Nuk instead of Buppy which is what we call it for Patrick. She doesn't take it often but she DOES take it which will hopefully make life a little easier and help with getting her onto a schedule.
In other news, we've been snowed in for about 4 days now. Hwy 21 has been closed pretty well non stop those days as well as getting to the Bruce Site. Currently my Mom, Dad and Sister are all stranded there being able to get there early this morning along a back road but as soon as they showed up, they closed all routes behind them. Hopefully they will be able to make it home some time this afternoon.
Well that's all for today!

Going Nuts....
OK... Kathryn won't stop crying unless you shove a boob in her mouth... and sometimes when she is being held. Deb and I are going nuts and I think Patrick and the cats are only a few steps behind. We've done everything to rocking her, changing her bum, playing with her, etc. She'll finally cry herself to sleep on your shoulder but as soon as you put her down, she starts howling again.
Currently, Deb is upstairs trying to get a little rest, Patrick is kinda napping, and I have Kathryn downstairs in the swing watching baby einstein while she howls. She's basically done this none stop since yesterday. We can't take much more of this. Time for tough love. I think Deb's going to stop feeding on demand (the idea is stoopid anyways). I guess she had to do this with Patrick too. Put him downstairs for a couple hours while he howled while she went upstairs to get some rest. Looks like Kathryn is following in the same footsteps.
OH!! She finally stopped howling!!! I'm not going down there though because as soon as she hears me, it'll start up again!
I've got a whole new respect for Deb since I missed this part with Patrick. I used to come home and Deb would be in tears yet Patrick would be all purrs and coo's so I didn't understand. Now that i'm going through it and am getting ultra frustrated (which takes a lot... ask pretty well any one who knows me). Deb's got it 10 times worse since she HAS to get up with her in the middle of the night for feedings and currently is the only one that can soothe her during the day. I do my best taking care of Patrick and help with Kathryn whenever I can but I just feel so damn inadequate! Deb is taking such a hit with this and all she wants is some sympathy which is all well and good but when she says sympathy (Which I TOTALLY HAVE FOR HER), I'm not sure if that's enough. I have a taste of what she's going through and am pulling my hair out. If that's not sympathy... i'm not sure what is. Of course I am just a guy and don't have quite the broad spectrum of emotions women do but i'm pretty sure what i'm feeling is not only sympathy... but empathy too.
Yeesh... i'm rambling. That's what Kathryn has me reduced to!!! A rambling idiot!
Anyways!!! I'm sure Kathryn will look back on this blog when she is older so let me state this for you sweetie.... Mommy, Daddy, Patrick and the Cats Love You (well maybe not the cats...), but right now.... You're Killing Us!!!!! Mommy already hopes that when you have kids they pull your nipples into spaghetti when they breast feed and Daddy hopes they only sleep in 45 min increments!!!!

Parental Leave - Take 2!!
Well... I've been on official parental leave now for 2 days and a bit! And boy has it been busy!!
Here's a quick recap:
1. Last friday we packed up the ol'front wheel drive sleigh and headed to Mom and Dad Fessenden's just narrowly beating a snow storm.
2. Saturday we headed to Brampton to the Mandarin for the Fessenden Christmas Party. It was quick but the kids were good. Kathryn slept most of the time and Patrick WANTED to sleep. He was so cute trying to curl into my arms while I was scarfing a pizza topped with ribs and chicken balls.... hehehe. Unfortunatley, we also spent 6 hours in emerg with Kathryn because we were worried she was getting RSV but it turned out to be just a head cold. Thank Goodness!
3. Sunday we had the meet'n'greet for Kathryn. I figure there was just over 20 people showed up... probably more though. Everyone got a chance to hold Kathryn since she slept the whole time. No screaming. Patrick had a blast playing with the other kids. We then headed over to my sibling-in-laws for a birthday party for both Deb and I. It was quick since both the kids were tired and we were both exhausted but it was still great. My sister-in-law can cook a mean lasagna!
4. Monday we stopped at Futureshop so I could pick up season 6 of married with children, then headed home. The van was just a tad on the full side with all the gifts we recieved! Once again, we just narrowly missed a snowstorm but when we got home, there was 2 feet of snow in our drive. In the process of blowing it out, i turned a pack of flyers into confetti! I was not amused.
5. Tuesday was a busy day. I brought Patrick to Play school for the morning then headed out to get more gas, get a new humidifier for Kathryn's room (which ended up in our room and giving her ours), cleaning out the drive again, doing some shopping, etc. Then picking up Patrick. There was probably more but I have to wrap this up. The natives are getting restless.
Talk at ya later!

It's been awhile...
I figured it was time to add to my blog since it's been so long. Well... not really that long. Only a week. Time does seem like it is flying by though. It seems as if i've been on the go non stop! Work is crazy busy as I've joined a commissioning team for the new dry storage project and somehow I seemed to have picked up all the administrative duties as well as all my usual work. It can be reallllllllly frustrating to spend most of your day trying to get something as simple as a lock change or new phone put in... and STILL not get it done! Oh well.. I've only got 1 week left to go then i'm off for 7 weeks on parental leave. I think the hardest thing about it all is the getting up at 5:30 to be at work for 7. It means I have to go to bed earlier in the evening so I don't get to spend a whole lot of time with Deb, Kathryn and my in-laws. Basically when I get home I spend most of my time with Patrick. I know Deb doesn't have much time with him and even though he has his grandparents all day, I'd like him to have at least a solid few hours with one of his parents. The big drawback with that is I don't spend much time with anyone else. He's worth it though! When I come home and he starts yelling "Da-Dee", it just makes my day no matter how bad it had been.
I am a little concerned about my bonding time with Kathryn though since i've only really spent a couple hours with her this week. Granted she does sleep most of the time i'm home and when she isn't sleeping, she's eating so that's Debs' bonding time. I guess i'm a little sad we aren't formula feeding this one too since it gives me a chance to both bond and give Deb a break. But Deb is so happy that she is able to breast feed and I don't want to take that away (Not that she would let me!!). Kathryn is now gaining weight so she must be getting the good stuff now anyways. It will just be nice when we have a bit more of an established schedule but I know from experience that no schedule will last for very long. Oh Well.
Anyways... I'm going to go make myself a cup of tea. Cheerio Peoples

It's My Birthday...
I'm the big old 28 years of age... yup... that's about it.
I've never been too big on the whole birthday thing and the weather really isn't perking me up any either. I also had a nap today which kinda screwed me over because i'm ALWAYS more tired when I wake up from them. Go figure.
However! I did receive a few cool birthday gifts! Deb got me a model hotel from my train set that I think will look perfect when I actually get going on it! I'll have to practice on some other models to get good before I tackle it since I don't want to screw it up. She also got me a 1000 piece simpsons puzzle which looks super cool and when I'm done... may have to be placed in our living room :) Mom and Dad are getting me a wheel barrow of my choice when Mom starts feeling well. They are ALWAYS good for those practical gifts that you never think of! And Mom and Dad Fessenden got me a stool for my train room which I had been wanting. All in all... I got spoiled :) Now I just wish the weather would be a bit nicer...
Anywho.... supper time. Soup and Sandwiches.

Happy New Year!
Well 2006 has come and gone. It was a good year for us McLarens on the whole but nothing too monumental occured. My Papa Mac (Orville McLaren) passed away in January which was pretty sad but other then that, nothing big happened (I'm not counting Deb getting preggerz).
2007 is shaping up to be an electric year though! And I mean that literally. I singed some hair off this morning while trying to replace an outlet in our kitchen with a GFI outlet. What kind of builder puts 2 hot wires on 2 different breakers to one outlet?!??!?!?!? Yeesh!
I went up on the roof as well today and took down the christmas lights. I figured it was clear enough and we still don't have snow so what the hell? Well... that and Deb told me to take them down... The good news is I didn't fall off the roof this time which is always a bonus! Even though the ground is kinda soft with the rain we've been having, it still hurts when it rushes up at you like that and my body just doesn't bounce back the way it used to.
Anyways, I should get going. We just put Patrick down for the night and are about to start watching season 9 of Stargate-SG1. Even though I'm a big Ben Browder & Claudia Black Fan... they just can't compete with Richard Dean Anderson (Or Rick as he likes me to call him... yes... we're THAT close).
Hope everyone has a great 2007! I probably won't be back on till friday night when I post some pictures of Kathryn :)
Peace Everyone!
